CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Joffrey Lupul had the lone goal and Frederic Cassivi stopped 32 shots, as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks shut out the Cleveland Barons, 1-0, Sunday at Gund Arena.
Lupul scored his team-leading 29th goal 12:55 into the first period for his ninth game-winner of the season for the Ducks, who set a franchise record with their 42nd win and held onto third place in the West Division at 89 points.
Cassivi stopped 22 shots over the final two periods en route to his third straight shutout and league-best 10th of the season.
Nolan Schaefer made 25 saves in the loss for the Barons.
The Ducks play Friday at Grand Rapids.
