St. Cloud, MN - St. Cloud Rox pitcher Austin Dubsky (Murray State) was named Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night for his performance in a start against the La Crosse Loggers on Thursday, June 23.

Dubsky lasted 8.0 innings in his start, only allowing one hit and no runs in the game. He also struck out five batters and only allowed three runners while guiding the Rox to their ninth straight win.

The one hit allowed by the combo Dubsky and reliever Colin Strall (LSU) ties the Rox record for least hits allowed in a game. The other time the team accomplished that feat was July 26, 2015 in a 6-0 win against Eau Claire.

Dubsky becomes the second Rox pitcher and fifth overall player to win a nightly league award. He follows teammate Ricky Ramirez, who was named player of the night on Wednesday. This is the second time that the Rox have had players win a nightly award on back-to-back days.

The Rox will play one more game in La Crosse on Friday before traveling to Eau Claire for a two-game series with the Express. They will return to Joe Faber Field on Monday for a game against the Wilmar Stingers. That game will feature a Rox umbrella giveaway for the first 300 fans presented by Wells Fargo.
