Green Bay, Wis. - A wild four and a half hour game ends with a Bullfrogs victory as they took down the Kalamazoo Growlers 6-5 in 13 innings. The game featured spectacular plays in the field, impressive performances out of the bullpen, and clutch hits by both teams.

The Bullfrogs got out of the gates early as they jumped on the Growlers 2-0 after back to back hits from Quincy Nieporte (Florida State) and Austin Clemons (Louisville). The Growlers would fight right back in the bottom half of the first as they would tie the ballgame at two.

The game cruised through the middle innings as both bullpens kept each other ' s offense at bay. For the Bullfrogs, Clayton Uselman (Madison College) and Jeremy Graf (Flagler) kept the Growlers off the scoreboard. As we headed into the bottom of the eighth, the Bullfrogs had a two run lead, 4-2. BJ Sabol (Indiana) came on to pitch for the Bullfrogs, he ran into some trouble but was able to get out of the inning only allowing a run.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Bullfrogs sent Logan Elliot (Mississippi State) to the mound to close out the ballgame. He got the first out in the inning but gave up a double to Connor Kopach (Southern Illinois), who then reached third off a bad throw by Laren Eustace (Indiana) in center field. Kopach would score on the next batter as Camden Duzenack (Dallas Baptist) drove in Kopach for the tying run. Elliot would finish the inning without giving up another run.

Randell Kanemaru (Columbia) reached base on a single to righ field with one out in the 10th. He made it to second base off a fielder ' s choice. Marcus Shoemaker (Lenoir Rhyne) stepped to the plate. The right fielder sent a single up the middle to score the go ahead run in Kanemaru.

With a 5-4 lead into the bottom of the 10th, the Bullfrogs sent Harrisen Egly (Columbia) to the mound. He ran into similar trouble as he allowed a one out double to Brady Cherry (Ohio State). The bases would become loaded as Kasey Cooper (Arkansas Fort-Smith) hit a sac fly to score the tying run. The Bullfrogs blew two saves in back to back innings.

But the Bullfrogs would not give up as they got another shot in the top of the 13th. Brian Lees (Southeast Missouri State) sent a line drive up the middle to score Shoemaker for the lead once again. This time the Bullfrogs would not relinquish. Matt Gunter (Hawaii Pacific) would close the door on the Growlers as he pitched his third scoreless inning of the game. Gunter picked up the win for the Bullfrogs.

The Bullfrogs will now make the six hour drive home to Green Bay as they start a five game home stand. The first opponent will be the Madison Mallards. The first game starts at 6:35pm tomorrow night.
