Greenville, SC - The Drive's woes against the Intimidators continued Wednesday afternoon at West End Field as Kannapolis brought out the sticks, tallying 17 hits en route to a 13-3 victory. With the win the Intimidators improved to 10-2 in 2007 versus Greenville.

The Drive kept the came close through the first three innings, by just a run after the Intimidators scored twice in the top of the first off Felix Doubront (3-6). John Shelby's two-run single gave Kannapolis the early lead, but the Drive cut it in half in the second with Jon Still's 17th homer of the season.

Things went south for Greenville in the top of the third when Doubront was forced to leave the game after experiencing cramping in his pitching arm. Reliever Jorge Rodriguez was able to get out of the inning, but surrendered seven runs in the fourth while recording just one out.

Kannapolis sent 13 batters to the plate with the first four reaching base. Scotty Madsen singled home a run, Brandon Allen doubled home a pair, and Chris Carter belted a three-run homer to send Rodriguez to the showers. The Drive and Intimidators continue their three-game series Thursday evening with first pitch set for 7:05 PM. Lefty Dustin Richardson will toe the rubber for Greenville in search of putting a stop to the team's five game losing skid, while Kannapolis counters with right-hander Jose Zazueta.
