Hagerstown Suns News Release

The Hagerstown Suns annual free baseball clinic will be held Saturday, July 14th for children ages 7-12. The clinic, which is sponsored by St. Lawrence Cement Company, will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Suns players will provide hands-on instruction.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, and every child needs to be accompanied by a guardian who must sign a waiver for their child. In addition to receiving instruction from Suns players and/or coaches, all children who participate in the clinic will receive a free ticket to that evening's game against the Lake County Captains (game time 7:05 p.m.), and a free lunch (hot dog, popcorn and drink). Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and to bring equipment.

The Hagerstown Suns also invite all local children ages 7-12 to register for the Suns Youth Baseball Camp at Municipal Stadium. All participants will "learn from the pros" as ALL instruction is provided by the Hagerstown Suns players and coaching staff. The camp takes place on July 17th, 18th and 19th and runs from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. each day. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the camp from the stands.

The cost of the camp is $90 per child. This fee includes all professional instruction for the three days, a camp T-shirt, lunch following the camp each day and a free ticket to each Suns game on July 17th, 18th and 19th. Stop by or call the Suns offices at 301-791-6266 for a registration form. Roster spots are limited and registrations are ahead of last year's pace - please register soon.

For more information on the 2007 season, or to register for the camp please contact the Suns at 301.791.6266 or info@hagerstownsuns.com. The Suns, a single A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are owned by Mandalay Baseball Properties of Los Angeles, California.
