Drillers Stun Travs with 2 out Rally in 9th

North Little Rock, AR - The Tulsa Drillers scored four times with two out in the ninth inning for a stunning 7-5 come from behind victory over the Arkansas Travelers in front of 5,623 on Saturday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Arkansas built a five run lead but Tulsa scored all of their runs from the seventh inning on. Devin Sweet carried a shutout into seventh before surrendering a two-run homer but still matched a season high with nine strikeouts.

Moments That Mattered

* Connor Kopach hit a two-run homer in the second extending the Travs' early lead. Bobby Honeyman popped a solo homer in the fifth and Brian O'Keefe added an RBI single as the lead ballooned to five.

* Tulsa had cut it to a two run margin for the ninth inning but Nick Duron struck out the first two batters and had a two strike count on the ninth place hitter but Stevie Berman worked a walk to keep the Drillers alive. Three batters later, after a walk and a hit batsman, Jeren Kendall hit a three-run triple into the right field corner to put the Drillers on top.

* The four runs off Duron in the ninth were the first runs he has allowed this season.

* It was the second time this season the Travs have lost after leading by five runs.

Arkansas will try to bounce back on Sunday with right-hander Tyler Herb (2-3, 2.03) on the mound against righty Andre Jackson (2-1, 2.62). First pitch is at 2:10 for a Military Appreciation and Family Sunday and kids can run the bases afterwards.
