North Little Rock, AR - The Tulsa Drillers utilized a five-run eighth to beat the Arkansas Travelers 6-3 on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park and earned a series split.

Tied 1-1 in the eighth, Tulsa scored the five runs on five hits, including three doubles, to take a 6-1 lead.

RHP Albert Suarez tossed six innings for Arkansas and allowed just a run on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts. The Texas League Post-Season All-Star lowered his 2015 ERA to 3.07.

LF Ruben Sosa Jr. extended his hitting streak to 16 straight games with a single in the third inning, the longest active streak in the Texas League and two shy of the longest streak in the league this year.

Travs 3B Brian Hernandez finished 2-for-4 with a two-run opposite field home run in the ninth inning. Hernandez now has eight home runs and a team-best 73 runs batted in (second in the Texas League).

Drillers SS Erisbel Arruebarrena went 4-for-4 with two doubles a run and an RBI.

Tulsa starter RHP Deck McGuire pitched five innings and allowed a run on two hits with a walk and six strikeouts.

The lone run surrendered by McGuire was C Raywilly Gomez' home run in the fourth inning, his first of the season.

With the loss, Arkansas remains four games ahead of both the Drillers and Springfield Cardinals with 10 games remaining in the second half.

Arkansas will begin a seven-game roadtrip on Saturday with three at Northwest Arkansas and four at Springfield before returning home on Saturday, September 5. This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
