
Driedger Returns, Hobbs & Rutkowski Called up to Binghamton

EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Chris Driedger was returned to the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, from the Ottawa Senators of the NHL. Additionally, the Binghamton Senators of the AHL have recalled forward Danny Hobbs, and defenseman, Troy Rutkowski from Evansville.
Driedger became the first IceMen player called up to the NHL on February 17th. He donned the Senators jersey in five games before being reassigned to Evansville. The IceMen released goaltender Brent Troyan to make room Driedger on the roster.
Rutkowski is the only player to appear in every one of the IceMen's 54 games this season. Hailing from Edmonton, Rutkowski leads Evansville blue liners with 6 goals, 18 assists and, 24 points. In addition to career highs in every offensive category, Rutkowski stands 5th in the ECHL in shots with 129 pucks put on net. He set single-game career best with three points (1G, 2A) in the IceMen's 7-3 win over Kalamazoo on Feb. 21.
Hobbs leaves Evansville on a two-game point streak. He had a short-handed goal and an assist in the IceMen's game against Fort Wayne on Wednesday and contributed an assist on Saturday against Cincinnati. The UMASS Amhearst- alum leaves Evansville with five goals and four assists in 17 games.
The IceMen will continue their five-game home stand on Wednesday night when they host the Kalamazoo Wings. The Puck drops at 7:15 p.m.
Wednesday's game brings another Wet Your Whistle Wednesday at Back Stage Bar & Grill. Fans can take their IceMen tickets across the street to Back Stage for $1 Coors Light draughts and free cover.
It will also be Donation Night on Wednesday. Fans can purchase tickets to the game against Kalamazoo in the name of one of four participating charities: The Children's Advocacy Center, EYHA, Vanderburgh County Humane Society, and Youth Resources.
A portion of each ticket bought in the name of charity will be given back to that non-profit organization. The charity with the highest number of tickets purchased in their name will also receive a $500 donation from the IceMen.
