INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, defeated the Kalamazoo Wings on Wednesday at Indiana Farmers Coliseum by a final score of 5-2 before claiming their first-ever wins over the Fort Wayne Komets at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Friday and Saturday. Following a dramatic, 3-2 overtime win on Friday, the Fuel claimed their fourth-consecutive victory by a 5-4 final on Saturday in a shootout. Following the week's action, Indy's record stands at 23-23-4-4 overall this season and with 54 points, the Fuel sit alone in fifth place in the ECHL's North Division standings, just one point shy of the third-place Cincinnati Cyclones and Kalamazoo Wings. With victories on Friday and Saturday, the Fuel extended their road point streak to 13 games, the longest streak of its kind in the ECHL this season.
