Dragons Place Salinas on Disabled List, Add Pitcher

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster moves today:

Right-handed pitcher Doug Salinas has been placed on the disabled list.

Right-handed pitcher Tim Crabbe has been promoted to Dayton from the Billings (Pioneer League) roster.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Salinas (pronounced suh-LEEN-us) has pitched in 15 games for the Dragons this season as a reliever. He is 3-2 with a 2.96 earned run average and two saves.

Crabbe (pronounced CRAB) has pitched in one game this season for the Dragons. He was the starting pitcher in the first game of a day-night doubleheader on May 22 vs. Bowling Green. Crabbe worked four and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and four runs (three earned) with three walks and three strikeouts. He was not involved in the decision. Crabbe was a 14th round draft pick by the Reds in 2009 out of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.

The Dragons play tonight (Saturday) at Fifth Third Field against the Clinton Lumber Kings at 7:00 p.m. The series and home stand concludes tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
