LANSING, Mich. - It only took six innings for the Bandits to take their second straight from the Lansing Lugnuts and their third straight overall on the road trip. Rain forced the game to be called with the Bandits leading 3-2 with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Scott Schneider worked all 5.2 innings for the River Bandits and allowed just two runs. In the sixth, Schneider was working in wet conditions which led to control issues. He walked and hit his only batters of the game in that inning, all of which contributed to one of the two runs he allowed in the game. Schneider (5-1) finished with a season-high eight strikeouts in the rain-shortened outing while earning the win.

Offensively, Quad Cities needed only three hits to tally the three runs. All three River Bandit hits in the game went for extra bases and all were doubles. Jason Stidham, Ivan Castro and Michael Swinson provided the hits with Castro and Swinson scoring two of the three runs. C.J. Beatty plated the other run.

Lugnuts starter Chad Jenkins (4-4) went all six for Lansing and was charged with all three runs in the losing effort. He walked one and struck out four.

The Bandits have assured themselves a win in the series and they look to make it a sweep tomorrow afternoon at Cooley Law School Stadium in Lansing. The River Bandits will send right hander Eric Fornataro to the mound against Lansing righty Ryan Tepera. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m.
