Lansing Lugnuts News Release
LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced Saturday that right-handed pitcher Dustin Antolin has been placed on the 7-day Disabled List retroactive to June 4, and that left-handed pitcher Egan Smith has been transferred to the roster from Extended Spring Training.
Antolin, 20, was 2-2 with a 2.93 ERA spanning 27 2/3 innings in his second season in the Lugnuts' bullpen.
The 21-year-old Smith was drafted by Toronto out of the College of Southern Nevada in the 7th round of the 2009 Amateur Draft. In nine starts with Auburn last season, the southpaw posted a 2-1 record with a 2.56 ERA. Smith is expected to arrive in Lansing at 4:45 p.m., at which point he will receive a uniform number.
The move brings the Lugnuts' official roster to 25 active players and four players on the DL.
