Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Lake County Captains (affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) in the first game of a three-game series. Dragons Record on Road Trip ending Tuesday: 2-11.

Last Game: Tuesday: Great Lakes 7, Dayton 6. The Loons scored five runs in the first inning and held off the Dragons to sweep the four-game series. The Dragons hit three home runs including a pair of two-run shots in the second inning by Hendrik Clementina and Raul Wallace. Jose Garcia had a solo homer in the fifth. The Dragons quickly bounced back after falling behind 5-0 and cut the deficit to 5-4 in the second inning, but they could never even the score. They left the tying run at second base in the ninth.
Playoff Chase: The Dragons must finish in the top two among eligible teams in the East Division in the Second Half (six teams competing; Bowling Green and Lansing ineligible). The Dragons are currently four and one-half games behind Fort Wayne and West Michigan in the race for the #2 seed in the Second Half. There are 19 games to play.
