
Snappers Squander Series Finale to Rattlers

Beloit, WI - The four-game series with the Beloit Snappers (60-59, 28-22) and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (58-62, 27-24) ended in disappointment for Beloit as they lost game four Tuesday night 8-3 at Pohlman Field in front of 681 fans.
With the Snappers on top 1-0 in the top of the second inning, T-Rats KJ Harrison hit his 11th home run of the season to tie it. The Snappers never got the lead back.
After the second inning, the Rattlers scored three runs in the third and fourth innings.
In the third, Zach Clark and Eddie Silva knocked in base hits to score three. In the fourth, two hits from Jay Feliciano and Harrison, along with a throwing error from Jesus Lage scored three more to make it 7-1.
For Silva, he went 1-for-4 and extended his current hitting streak to 11 games. Lage would make all three errors, two fielding and one throwing.
Austin Beck gave the Snappers a 1-0 lead early, grounding into a double-play in the first to score Nick Allen with no outs. For Beck, he finished the series with six RBI and was a homer away from the cycle in the Monday game.
Hunter Hargrove went 3-5 in the game with an RBI single in the fifth and ninth, finishing with three hits and two RBI. In the series, he plated seven runs. Nick Allen would also get three hits Tuesday.
Wisconsin tacked on an insurance run in the ninth with a solo homer from lead-off hitter Darren Seferina to make it 8-2. The Snappers would get a run in the ninth, but it wouldn't be enough.
Getting the win in relief was Christian Meister, his first win of the season. He pitched in the fifth inning for 1.1 innings total.
Getting a three inning save, his fourth of the season, was Michael Peterson. Peterson went three innings of lights out baseball, striking out seven Snappers including Logan Farrar to end the game.
Getting the loss for the Snappers was started Jhenderson Hurtado, making just his second start of the season. He gave up seven runs, five earned, in 3.1 innings pitched.
Bryce Conley pitched 4.2 innings of relief and stellar baseball, allowing just one hit and striking out seven.
The offense cooled off from Monday's game where Beloit racked up 14 hits and eight runs. They struck out 13 times, went 3-for-12 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base.

The Snappers will now travel to Clinton to take on the LumberKings for three games. It will Beloit's final regular season series with the LumberKings. Taking the hill for game one for the Snappers will be right-hander Jean Ruiz (4-9, 4.07). He will be opposed by the LumberKings right-hander Ryne Inman (4-8, 4.60).
