Last Game : Monday: Dayton 4, Great Lakes 1. The Dragons snapped an eight-game losing streak in the first game of the series with the Loons. Dayton scored single runs in each of the first three innings to take an early 3-1 lead. Starting pitcher Adrian Rodriguez struck out eight and allowed just four hits over six good innings for the win, and John Ghyzel pitched a perfect ninth inning for the save. Dragons pitchers struck out 14 batters, matching the team season high. Andy Sugilio had his third straight two-hit game for Dayton. J.D. Williams also had two hits.

Cory Thompson has posted a 1.67 ERA in 27 relief appearances.
