Dayton, Ohio - The Dayton Dragons belted two-run home runs in four consecutive innings as they defeated the Lansing Lugnuts 15-11 in a slugfest on Friday night at Fifth Third Field. A 2011 season-high crowd of 9,232 attended the game as the two clubs combined for 26 runs, 36 hits, and six home runs.

Juan Duran, Donald Lutz, Yorman Rodriguez, and David Vidal each homered with a man on base in consecutive innings starting with Duran's blast in the second. Vidal's homer was his third in the last two games. Lutz and Vidal remained in a tie for the team lead with nine homers on the year. Duran hit his fifth and Rodriguez connected on his fourth.

The Dragons led 7-2 after three innings before Lansing scored four in the top of the fourth, getting back-to-back home runs from Kevin Nolan and Marcus Knecht, to cut the Dayton lead to 7-6. But the Dragons answered with five in the bottom of the fourth to build their lead to 12-6 and cruise on to their sixth win in the last eight games.

Dayton improved to 35-33 in the first half with two games remaining. A Dragons victory Saturday or Sunday would ensure the club a winning first-half record for the first time since 2007.

Since the Dragons lost 1-0 on Wednesday in Fort Wayne, they have scored 29 runs on 36 hits over the last two nights, winning 14-4 on Thursday before collecting 18 hits to match their season-high on Friday. Lutz and Vidal each had three hits in Friday's win. Duran, Rodriguez, Theo Bowe, Billy Hamilton, and Dominic D'Anna each had two hits. The Dragons had nine extra base hits in the game and all nine batters had at least one hit. The top seven batters in the order went a combined 16 for 32 (.500). It was the first four-homer game for the Dragons since July 5, 2009 at West Michigan.

The Dragons host Lansing on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Tanner Robles (3-5, 6.18) will start for Dayton. The game will be televised on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2. WHIO TV Sports Director Mike Hartsock will provide color commentary.

The Dragons consecutive game sell-out streak stands at 806, eight short of the all-time sports record.
