Today's Game: The Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) host the Loons (affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers) in the second game of a three-game set. Season Series: Dayton 4, Great Lakes 4. Dayton is 2-2 vs. Great Lakes at Fifth Third Field.

Streaks: Dayton: Lost 3 (lost seven of last eight). Great Lakes: Won 1 (17-8 over last 25 games).

Last Game: Great Lakes scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to pull out a 7-6 win over the Dragons on Thursday night. The Dragons had battled back from an early 5-1 deficit to take a 6-5 lead into the ninth before the Loons rallied after the first two batters in the inning struck out. Jaime Ortiz lined a two-run triple that skipped under the glove of Dragons center fielder Ryan LaMarre. Chris Richburg hit two home runs and added a double for Dayton. Richburg and Cameron Satterwhite hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning to tie the game, and LaMarre's two-out RBI single in the seventh gave Dayton the lead. It was the third straight loss (all by one run) for Dayton.

Today's Starting Pitcher: Jacob Johnson makes his 14th start of the season tonight. His last start came Sunday at Lansing and he was not involved in the decision (6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 0 SO). He has gone 4-0, 2.08 over his last five starts to lower his ERA from 5.79 to 4.26. Over his last seven starts, he has posted a 10-24 walk-strikeout ratio in 36 innings after a 15 BB-10 SO ratio in his first six starts over 27.1 innings. He is a 19-year-old native of Lake Worth, Florida. He was drafted by the Reds in the 11th round in 2009 out of Trinity Christian Academy. Johnson finished fifth in the 2009 Florida Mr. Baseball voting. He was named the Florida Class 1A Co-Player of the Year and a 1st Team All-State selection in '09. Johnson had committed to Wake Forest before signing with Reds. He played with the GCL Reds in 2009 (2-3, 2.83 ERA).

Individual Notes

* Cameron Satterwhite is batting .397 over his last 17 games. He hit .374 for the month of June to rank second in the Midwest League. He led the league in June slugging percentage at .626 and total bases with 57 while tying for the league lead in extra base hits with 15. He tied for second in doubles with 11. Satterwhite has three home runs in the second half in seven games played.

* Henry Rodriguez has hit in six straight games and 13 of his last 14. He is batting .340 over his last 24 games with 10 doubles, two triples, and a home run. Rodriguez is hitting .355 in the second half to lead the team.

* Chris Richburg is batting .348 over his last 12 games. He has hit seven home runs and driven in 21 runs since June 1 to lead the Midwest League in both categories over that period.

* The Dragons roster includes two players who are ranked among the Reds top 30 prospects by Baseball America. They are shortstop Didi Gregorius (#15) and pitcher J.C. Sulbaran (#25).

Team Notes

* Dayton is batting .280 in June-July to rank first in the Eastern Division and third in the league.

* Last night's game was the first time is 39 Dragons home games this season in which the team that led at the end of the seventh inning did not win the game. In the four cases where the game was tied at the end of the seventh, Dayton won all four games.
