Fort Wayne, Ind.-The Fort Wayne Wizards broke a 2-2 tie with two runs in the fifth inning and went on to complete a doubleheader sweep of the Dayton Dragons on Tuesday night with a 4-2 victory. The loss dropped the Dragons record to 26-37.

Fort Wayne won the first game 4-3, scoring with two outs in the seventh and final scheduled inning to break a 3-3 tie.

In game two, Fort Wayne took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run by Andy Parrino, his fourth of the season.

The Dragons answered with two runs in the top of the fourth to take a brief lead. Logan Parker walked to start the inning and went to second when Denis Phipps singled. After a sacrifice bunt by Michael McKennon advanced the runners to second and third, Angel Cabrera hit a hard ground ball through the middle to drive in two runs and make it 2-1.

The Wizards tied the game in the bottom of the fourth on Parrino's run-scoring single to right. Then they took the lead in the fifth, taking advantage of a costly throwing error by Dragons pitcher Luis Montano that led to two runs to jump ahead 4-2.

Fort Wayne relievers Derek McDaid and Jackson Quezada each pitched a scoreless inning to close out the Wizards win in the seven inning game.

Montano (6-5) suffered the loss, working four and two-thirds innings and allowing nine hits and four runs with no walks and six strikeouts.

The Dragons meet Fort Wayne on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (WING 1410 AM) in the third game of the series. Josh Raven (1-3, 5.00) will start for Dayton.
