
Drabek Wins His 11th as Fisher Cats Move Back into First Place

(Trenton, NJ)---Kyle Drabek worked six innings, picking up his 11th win, and every Fisher Cats starter recorded at least one hit in a 10-4 win over Trenton on Sunday at Waterfront Park. With the win, New Hampshire moves back into first place, a half-game ahead of the Thunder.
Drabek (11-9) allowed three hits, walked one and struck out three.
For the third straight game, the Fisher Cats used a five-run inning to distance themselves from the Thunder. This time the big inning came in the top of the third. Darin Mastroianni walked, Adeiny Hechavarria reached on an error and Adam Loewen singled Mastroianni in for a 1-0 lead. Eric Thames reached on an error as Hechavarria scored. Shawn Bowman and David Cooper each had RBI singles and Concepcion Rodriguez, in his Fisher Cats debut, added an RBI with a sacrifice fly.
Trenton starter Adam Warren (3-1), who had won his first three Double-A decisions, suffered the loss. He worked three innings, allowing six hits and five runs (three earned).
New Hampshire (65-44) extended the lead to 7-0 in the top of the fourth inning. Hechavarria singled, Loewen walked and Thames singled scoring Hechavarria. Cooper (2-for-5, 2 RBI) then doubled home Loewen.
Trenton (64-44) got on the board against Drabek in the bottom of the fourth inning. Austin Krum doubled and scored on a single by Brandon Laird.
The Fisher Cats put up three more runs in the top of the fifth inning. Jeroloman walked, Jonathan Diaz doubled and both scored on a triple Mastroianni (2-for-4, 2R, 2 RBI). Mastroianni scored on a sacrifice fly by Hechavarria to make it 10-1.
The Thunder added three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning against reliever Trystan Magnuson. Luis Nunez knocked in a run with a double and two more scored on Justin Snyder's single.
The Fisher Cats return home on Tuesday, August 3 to meet the Richmond Flying Squirrels for the first time this season. It will be Summer Reading Night sponsored by the Community College System of New Hampshire, and it will also be Franco-American Night at Merchantsauto.com Stadium.
