The San Francisco Giants have made the following transaction affecting the roster of Double-A Richmond prior to Sunday's Game against Altoona:
RHP Daniel Turpen traded by the San Francisco Giants to the Boston Red Sox [23 + 4 DL]
No corresponding move has been announced, leaving the Flying Squirrels one player shy of the Eastern League maximum of 24 active players. Four players (SS Brandon Crawford, 1B Andy D'Alessio, C Nestor Rojas, OF Roger Kieschnick) are currently on the Disabled List.
