Quad Cities River Bandits News Release

After a rain delay of 95 minutes, Thursday's scheduled game between the Swing of the Quad Cities and Dayton Dragons has been rained out due to persistent rain in the Dayton area. To make up for the lost game, a doubleheader has been scheduled for 5:00 on Friday.

The Swing of the Quad Cities have won two straight one-run ballgames at Dayton. They defeated the Dragons 5-4 in the first game of the season on Tuesday, and won their second straight, 6-5, on Wednesday night.

The Swing will send RHP Adam Harben (0-0, 0.93) and LHP Ricky Barrett (0-0, 6.48) to the hill during the doubleheader. They will be opposed by RHP Calvin Medlock (1-0, 1.46) and RHP Brock Till (1-0, 2.70).

UP NEXT: The Swing will continue their three-week, 19-game season-opening road trip with the first of a two-game set at Peoria. Chris Schutt (0-1, 5.40) will take to the mound against righty Jordan Pals (1-1, 6.46).

NEXT HOME GAME: The Swing open a completely-renovated John O'Donnell Stadium on Thursday, April 29, at 7:00, against the Burlington Bees. Limited tickets are still available for Opening Day by calling (563) 324-3000.

PROMOTION: Hall of Famer Rod Carew will throw a ceremonial first pitch. In addition, fans through the gates will receive a Swing of the Quad Cities 2004 magnet schedule. In addition, the game will be followed by fireworks.
