GAME OF THE WEEK: Burlington 14, Swing 13 (11 innings)

Yes, it's tough to refer to a loss as a Game of the Week, but when a team battles back from deficits of 7-0 and 10-1 to take the lead in a ballgame, it's worth remembering, just for a bit. Scott Whitrock had a huge day for the Swing, belting two home runs and driving in five. Matt Moses and Ben Pattee each also went deep, while Brock Peterson, Sam Taylor, and Alex Garcia each drove in runs as the Swing took the lead in the eighth inning.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Julio DePaula

The Player of the Week for the second week of the season is relief pitcher Julio DePaula, who went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in two appearances for the Swing. On Tuesday night at Dayton, the 6-0, 178-pound righty struck out seven men and allowed just one hit in 4.1 innings as the Swing beat the Dragons, 5-4, at Fifth Third Field. He also worked 1.1 perfect frames against Burlington last Saturday night. DePaula was signed as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in July of 1999, when he was just 16 years old. According to Baseball America, DePaula has the best changeup among Twins minor leaguers.
