Dominique Jones Sent to Texas Legends

Frisco, TX DEC. 21, 2011 - Today the Dallas Mavericks assigned 6'5" guard Dominique Jones to the Texas Legends, the Mavericks' NBA D-League affiliate. The assignment marks the 21st time an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season and Jones first assignment to the Legends this season.

Jones has appeared in nine games for the Mavericks this year, scoring a total of 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds. He returns to the Legends following his 10-game assignment as a rookie last season where he averaged 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists.

A second-year guard from South Florida, Jones appeared in 18 games for the Mavericks during the 2010-11 season.

Jones will play his first game of the season for the Legends on Wednesday at 7:00PM when Texas (8-13) plays host to the Tulsa 66ers (10-9) at Dr Pepper Arena.
