
Dallas Mavericks Assign Dominique Jones to NBA D-League Affiliate Texas Legends

NEW YORK, Jan. 15, 2012 ? The Dallas Mavericks today assigned Dominique Jones to the Texas Legends, the Mavericks? NBA D-League affiliate. The assignment marks the 21st time an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season. It is the first assignment for Jones this season.
Jones (6-5, 215) has appeared in nine games for the Mavericks this year, scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds. He returns to the Legends following a 10-game assignment as a rookie last season when he averaged 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0.
A second-year guard from South Florida, Jones appeared in 18 games for the Mavericks during the 2010-11 season.
