Hillsboro Hops News Release

TONIGHT: The defending Northwest League champion Hillsboro Hops are in Pasco, Wash. to battle the Tri-City Dust Devils in the middle game of the five-game series. LHP Jared Miller, the league leader in wins and innings pitched, gets the ball for the Hops. He is 7-1, 1.65, and trails only teammate Carlos Hernandez (1.26) in the league ERA race.

LAST NIGHT: Tri-City jumped on the Hops' bullpen late to turn a tight game into a blowout. A six-run bottom of the 8th gave the Dust Devils a 10-3 win.

TONIGHT'S RADIO PREGAME SHOW BEGINS AT 6:45 ON RIP CITY RADIO 620AM AND www.RipCityRadio.com.

KINGS OF Ks: Tonight's Hops starter, Jared Miller, has already broken the franchise single-season record for wins with seven, surpassing Ben Eckels' six victories in 2013. Miller's 52 K's this year leave him eight shy of Eckels' club record of 60, also from 2013. But Miller is not alone. His teammate, Carlos Hernandez, has also amassed 60 K's this year to lead the NWL. Hernandez, too, can break Eckels' mark in his next start on Sunday.
