Published on November 11, 2014 under American Hockey League (AHL)
Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs earned their first home win of the season in convincing fashion last week when they defeated the North Division rival Rochester Americans 6-1 on Tuesday during the 'Dogs annual School Day Game. After dropping a pair of weekend home games to the Adirondack Flames this past Friday and Saturday, Hamilton will look to recapture its success against Rochester when the club returns home this weekend following a pair of road games this week in St. John's, N.L. against the St. John's IceCaps.
On Thursday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Nov. 14, the Bulldogs will head to St. John's to take on the IceCaps (American Hockey League affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets) at Mile One Centre in 6 p.m. ET starts on both nights. The matches will be two of four scheduled between the Canadian rivals in 2014-15 and the only two in St. John's. Last season, Hamilton had a record of 2-2-0-0 against St. John's.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, the 'Dogs will return home to host the Americans (AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) at FirstOntario Centre at 3 p.m. in the fourth of 10 meetings between the clubs in 2014-15. The 'Dogs hold a record of 2-1-0-0 against the Amerks so far this season and have scored close to half of their goals so far (14 of 33) against the division rivals.
