El Paso Diablos News Release

El Paso, TX- In the second straight day of double headers, the Diablos and Sox split the both games, with the first game going to the Diablos 3-2, and the second game going to Amarillo 8-1.

Game one of the double header was dominated by pitching from both sides, starting pitcher Jesse Estrada was terrific for the Diablos going 8.0 innings only giving up two runs, on eight hits with two strikeouts. After an even battle throughout the game went into extra innings, then in the bottom of the eighth inning the Diablos broke through as they loaded the bases with no outs, a fielder's choice lead to Jose Garcia touching home plate for the final run of the game and the Diablos third straight win.

Once again game two was dominated by pitching, this time it was only by one team, and that team was the Amarillo Sox. The Diablos offense went stagnant in game two, as they only scored one run, as the Sox split the double header.

The Diablos are now 28-51 this season with one more double header against the Amarillo sox tomorrow, overall the Diablos lead the series 3-1, and with one win tomorrow the Diablos will claim the series win, the game starts at 5:30 tomorrow night, here at Cohen Stadium!
