Devils call up Clemmensen

Albany N.Y. – The Albany River Rats today announced that goaltender Scott Clemmensen has been recalled by the New Jersey Devils.

Clemmensen, 25, leads all River Rat goalies with five wins, a 2.42 goals against average (12TH/AHL) and a .910 save percentage in 19 games during the 2002-03 season. The Des Moines, IA native began his professional career with the Devils last October when he made two appearances totaling 20 minutes while allowing one goal.

The 6-2, 205-pounder recorded a 5-19-4 mark, with a 3.29 goals against average and .908 save percentage in 29 games with Albany last season after winning the NCAA Championship with Boston College at Pepsi Arena in April of 2001.

The Albany River Rats travel to Canada this weekend for a two-game series against the Saint John Flames on Friday night at 8:30pm and on Saturday at 8:00pm.
