Bulldogs Set Another Record in Win

The Hamilton Bulldogs broke another franchise record as they defeated the St. John's Maple Leafs 4-3 at Mile One Stadium in St. John's on Tuesday night. The win was the Bulldogs' sixth consecutive victory on the road, which sets a new franchise record.

The Bulldogs remain first overall in the AHL with a record of 20 wins, 6 losses, 1 tie and 2 overtime losses.

The Bulldogs' Benoit Gratton scored his team leading seventh game-winning goal with less than 37 seconds remaining in regulation time to win the game for Hamilton. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Fernando Pisani, Jani Rita and Francois Beauchemin.

St. John's had goals from Brad Boyes (2) and Luca Cerada.

Gratton (1g,2a), Jason Ward (3a), and Rita (1g,1a) had multi-point games for the Bulldogs.

In goal Mathieu Garon earned the victory for Hamilton by making 31 saves. Mikael Tellqvist stopped 34 shots for the Maple Leafs.

On the power play the Bulldogs scored one goal on four opportunities, while the Maple Leafs were 0 for 2 with the man-advantage.
