Denis denies Monsters in 1-0 win

Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Lake Erie Monsters 1-0 on Sunday in front of 4,512 fans at Copps Coliseum. The win was the second consecutive victory for the ‘Dogs as they begin a five-game road trip on Wednesday in Hershey.

The Bulldogs only goal came at 15:07 of the first frame. T.J. Kemp skated behind the net before sending a backhand pass to Brock Trotter, who was skating towards the net. Trotter ripped a shot that beat Lake Erie starting goaltender Jason Bacashihua below the glove.

Marc Denis earned the shutout for Hamilton making 25 saves for his fourth shutout of the season. It was the third consecutive home shutout against the Monsters this season as Lake Erie has not scored a goal at Copps Coliseum since October 31st, 2008.

The Bulldogs begin a five-game road trip on Wednesday, February 11th when they travel to Hershey to battle the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Fans can listen to every ‘Dogs game on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, TALK 820.
