Gwinnett Stripers News Release

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Gwinnett Stripers (50-40) lost 6-3 to the Durham Bulls (57-32) in the finale of a six-game series on Sunday at Coolray Field.

Decisive Plays: Durham took a 3-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run double by Kevin Padlo and an RBI single by Nathan Lukes. Mike Ford's two-run home run (11) to right field off Nolan Kingham (L, 0-5) gave the Bulls a five-run cushion at 6-1 in the fifth inning.

Key Contributors: Travis Demeritte blasted a solo shot (14) to center field off Shane Baz in the second inning to make it 3-1. Terrance Gore added an RBI triple to score Ryan Casteel in the ninth inning. Baz allowed one hit and one run over 3.0 innings in his start for Durham. Dietrich Enns (W, 7-2) recorded four strikeouts over 4.0 hitless innings in relief.
