
Delmarva sweeps West Virginia, 3-2

Delmarva Shorebirds News Release
The Shorebirds jumped out in front of the visiting West Virginia Power 1-0 in the second inning on the lead-off solo homerun by Jason Fransz. In the bottom of the fourth Jake Duncan lead off with a single followed by a double from Fransz. Brian Bock singled in Duncan moving Fransz to third. CJ Smith hit a sac fly to right scoring Fransz, giving Delmarva a 3-0 lead after four innings. In the top of the fifth West Virginia cut the âBirds lead to one after the two run homerun from Josh Murray. The Shorebird bullpen took over with two outs in the sixth and shut down the Power. Side note: Brian Bock was called up to AA Fredrick after Sunday's Ball game.
