Delmarva Shorebirds News Release
RHP Ryan Berry promoted to Frederick (Advanced-A)...RHP Patrick Kantakevich added from Aberdeen (A)... RHP Zachary Clark added from Bowie (AA)
Berry, the Shorebirds opening night starter, was stellar in eight starts. He went 0-3 with a 3.50 ERA. The Humble, Texas native led the Shorebirds staff in strike outs with 43. He ranked second on the staff in innings pitched (46.1).
Berry's best outing came against Northern Division leaders Savannah on May 5. In seven shutout innings, he allowed just three hits. Berry fanned a career high 10 batters.
The 21-year old is expected to start tonight for the Frederick Keys against the Kinston Indians at 6:00 p.m.
Clark is simply on loan from Bowie. He is not expected to be in Delmarva for a long period of time.
