PREVIEW: Delmarva and Kannapolis meet in Delmarva's final home game of the first half at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The Shorebirds have played incredibly well at home this season, losing just one series in 10 chances (and winning or splitting the last nine in a row). Delmarva comes into tonight's game having won five of the last six games and seven of its last eight at home. Kannapolis has the worst record in the Sally League, but they are almost .500 on the road (compared to 10-25 at home). The Intimidators have lost six straight entering tonight. Since the Shorebirds opened the season with a 4-6 mark and lost two of the first three series, they have a series record of 11-3-2 over their last 16 sets, going 33-20 over that stretch.

TONIGHT'S OPPONENT: Right-hander Zach Thompson gets the ball from Cole Armstrong in the series finale for Kannapolis. Thompson did not pitch very well at the start of the season, including a loss to Delmarva in April. But over his last eight starts, Thompson is 5-0 with a 1.52 ERA and has become the best option in the Kannapolis rotation. Tonight marks his 40th career appearance and his 40th professional start.

LAST GAME QUICK HITS: The Shorebirds had a comfortable 5-1 lead going into the top of the ninth, but struggled to close out the game. Delmarva hung on to win 5-4, but surrendered three unearned runs in the top of the ninth. Ofelky Peralta dominated the Intimidators, striking out seven in five frames to earn his third career win.

MILESTONE WIN: Monday night's win was the 400th career managerial win for Shorebirds skipper Ryan Minor.
