SAN ANTONIO (Mar. 27, 2007) - The San Antonio Rampage announced today that they have signed defenseman Sean Sullivan to an amateur tryout (ATO) for the remainder of the season after agreeing to a multi-year contract with the Phoenix Coyotes that begins with the 2007-08 season.

Sullivan, who turns 23 on Thursday, recently completed his four-year collegiate career with Boston University (20-10-9) when the Terriers were eliminated 5-1 by Michigan State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night.

Selected by the Coyotes in the ninth round (272nd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Sullivan was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star for 2006-07. The senior captain was also tabbed as the league's Best Defensive Defenseman after finishing second amongst Terrier blueliners with 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 38 games played this season. The Braintree, Massachusetts native also finished his senior season 3rd on the team with a plus-13 rating.

In four seasons with Boston University, Sullivan missed only three games due to injury, playing in 155 of 158 games and recording 43 points (nine goals, 34 assists). His 155 games played places him 7th all-time in BU history.
