Canucks Re-assign Edler to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have re-assigned defenceman Alex Edler to the Moose.

Edler, 20, appeared in three games since being recalled to Vancouver for the fifth time this season, collecting an assist Mar. 21/07 vs. Nashville. As a result, the Ostersund, SWE native has appeared in 21 games with the Canucks in his rookie season where he has scored a goal and two assists for three points and six penalty minutes. He scored his first professional goal on Nov. 30/06 vs. Anaheim. Edler has also played in 41 games so far this year with the Moose where he's scored five goals and 18 assists for 23 points and 24 penalty minutes.

Edler was originally Vancouver's third round choice, 91st overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
