
Defenseman Josiah Didier Returns from AHL Charlotte

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Saturday that defenseman Josiah Didier has returned to the team from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Didier, 24, returns to Florida where he has registered five points (1g, 4a) with 23 penalty minutes in eight games played the Everblades this season. Didier logged an assist in four games with the Checkers during his recent call-up.
The 6-3, 220-pound defenseman has totaled 15 points (2g, 13a) in 104 career AHL appearances split between the St. John's IceCaps, Hamilton Bulldogs and Charlotte. Didier is under an AHL contract with Charlotte this season.
Didier played four seasons at the University of Denver from 2011-2015 compiling 29 points (3g, 26a). The Littleton, Colorado native was originally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the fourth-round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
As a result of today's roster moves, the Everblades have released defenseman Vinny Muto from his standard player contract (SPC).
Didier is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Everblades play host to the Cincinnati Cyclones at Germain Arena. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. Tonight's game is Military Night! The team will wear special Military Jerseys which will be auctioned off following the game to benefit the National Coalition for Patriots. We will honor our veterans military personnel throughout the evening. Pregame tailgate party begins at 5:00 p.m. featuring live music and bounce houses for the kids!
