Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - Callum Booth stopped all 21 shots faced to lead the Florida Everblades to a 1-0 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones Saturday night at Germain Arena
BOX SCORE
The 'Blades got on the board early just 4:32 into the game; Following a faceoff, the puck found its way to Clark Seymour at the top of the right circle and he was able to settle the puck down and clap a shot towards the net that was tipped and redirected into the net by Dave Dziurzynski to put Florida in front 1-0.
The 'Blades kept the Cyclones in check for the second period, and cranked out 16 shots of their own. However Anthony Peters turned aside all 16 shots faced in the period to keep the score at 1-0 after two periods of play.
Callum Booth was able to keep the Blades lead with just over 10 minutes left in the period as he eyed a cross-crease pass and slid over to rob the Cyclones forward Justin Danforth on a one timer down low with a sweep of his glove in dramatic fashion.
Booth continued to make the necessary saves for the remainder of the third period to secure the 1-0 win for Florida, and earn his first professional shutout. Booth finished with 21 saves, while Anthony Peters was equally as impressive stopping 36 of 37 shots faced in the contest.
The Everblades are back in action on Sunday at Orlando with a 1:30 start time. Fans can catch the game on WJBX (101.5 FM, 104.3 FM, 770 AM), or. Fans can also watch the game online at ECHL.tV
