MWL Beloit Sky Carp

Defense and Pitching Shine In Loss to Kernels

August 28, 2021 - Midwest League (MWL)
Beloit Sky Carp News Release

There is absolutely nothing better than a packed house on a Friday Night at ABC Supply Stadium. The crowd was energetic, kids scattered the ballpark down the foul lines, and the party decks looked like THE place to be in Beloit.

It was game 10 of the 12-game homestand, but that didn't slow anyone down, especially the kids. Snappy must have had too many of the Wisco on a Stick cheese curds, or the kids ate their Wheaties. Either way, everyone had a blast chasing down Snappy.

Friday could have been Accapella night at ABC Supply Stadium too. Not once, not twice, but AT LEAST three times, the crowd roared along with Sweet Caroline, the YMCA, and other ballpark hits. While yes, there was a baseball game being played on the field, it was so welcoming to see an entire stadium enjoy the night with some music and fun. Building a community is what it is all about. The Snappers are thrilled to be directly in the center of it all.

The Beloit Snappers were on the cusp of splitting the series through the first four games with the Cedar Rapids Kernels, but a late run by Cedar Rapids lifted them over Beloit, 2-1. Snappers' starter Bryan Hoeing pitched seven innings with one unearned run and a career-high 10 strikeouts. Thomas Jones had a pair of hits, including a triple and Beloit's lone run.

The Snappers are back at ABC Supply Stadium on Friday against Cedar Rapids. For more information on tickets or group outings, call our front office at 608.362.2272 or visit SnappersBaseball.com.
