Defenders Rained Out

NORWICH, CT-Tonight's game vs. New Hampshire has been postponed due to inclement weather and wet grounds. The game is rescheduled for a double header tomorrow August 1 with two 7 inning games starting at 5:05pm.

All tickets for tonight's game can be redeemed for tomorrow's doubleheader or any other 2009 Defenders home game by submitting them at the box office.

The doubleheader matchup will feature the Defenders RHP-Daryl Maday (4-3) against the Fisher Cats' LHP-Troy Cate (0-0) in game one and LHP-Madison Bumgarner (7-1) versus LHP-Nate Starner (0-1) in game two.

Gates will open early at 3:30pm for a pre-game Fireman's Home Run Derby. The "Fireman's Ball and Glove" will also feature a post-game Tennis Ball Toss to help raise money to benefit the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation.

The Defenders will launch today's post-game fireworks tomorrow.
