Norwich, CT- Tonight's scheduled game between the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Connecticut Defenders at Dodd Stadium has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a twi-night doubleheader, consisting of two seven-inning games, on Saturday beginning at 5:05pm.
In the opening game, left-hander Troy Cate (0-0, 0.00) is scheduled to make his New Hampshire debut against Connecticut right-hander Daryl Maday (4-3, 3.66). The Fisher Cats will send lefty Nate Starner (0-1, 5.03) to the mound against Defenders lefty Madison Bumgarner (7-1, 1.90) in the nightcap. Radio coverage begins at 4:45pm with the BayRing Pre-Game Show on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network with Mike Murphy.
The Fisher Cats open a three-game set against the Bowie Baysox, Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, Tuesday night at Merchantsauto.com Stadium with a 7:05pm game.
