TULSA, Okla. - Michael De Leon went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs but the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, saw their late rally fall just short in a 7-6 loss to the Tulsa Drillers Saturday at ONEOK Field.

BIG MOMENTS

* De Leon gave the Riders a 3-2 lead with a two-run single in the second and tie the game with his second homer in as many days leading off the fifth.

* Trailing 7-5 entering the ninth, the Riders scored once on an RBI single from Luis Mendez and proceeded to load the bases with two outs but were unable to bring in the tying run.

* Tulsa broke a 5-5 tie with solo homers from Drew Jackson and Will Smith to lead off the sixth and seventh innings, respectively.

KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS

* Michael De Leon: 2-for-5, HR, 3 RBI, R

* Destin Hood: 1-for-4, HR, RBI, 2 R

* Luis Yander La O: 3-for-3, 2 BB

NEWS AND NOTES

* In addition to De Leon going deep in back-to-back nights, Destin Hood did the same with a solo homer to dead center in the fourth.

* Luis Yander La O reached safely all five times Saturday and has been aboard in nine consecutive plate appearances, the longest streak by a Riders hitter this year.
