Today's Game : The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the West Michigan Whitecaps (affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) in the first game of a three-game series. This is game four of a 13-game, 14-day road trip for the Dragons. Dragons Record to Date on the Trip: 1-2.

Last Game : Friday: Fort Wayne 5, Dayton 2. TinCaps starting pitcher Osvaldo Hernandez did not allow a hit until the seventh inning and Fort Wayne withstood a Dragons comeback effort to win the series. The Dragons trailed 3-0 before scoring two runs in the seventh to pull within one, but they had just one hit the rest of the night. The Dragons finished with four hits including two by Alejo Lopez.
Playoff Chase : The Dragons must finish in the top two among eligible teams in the East Division in the Second Half (six teams competing; Bowling Green and Lansing ineligible). The Dragons currently are third in the Second Half race, one-half game behind #2 seed Fort Wayne. The top five teams in the Second Half race are separated by just three games.

Transactions: Starting pitcher Hunter Greene will be placed on this disabled list with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He will not pitch for Dayton again in 2018. Starting pitcher Jared Solomon will be promoted to Dayton from Billings to replace Greene in the rotation.
