Day of Hockey to Include Gold Medal Game

The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League will be intermittently showing the Gold Medal Game of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Sunday as part of a Day of Hockey presented by Irving Oil.

Portions of the Gold Medal Game, which begins at 3:15 p.m., will be shown on the video scoreboard.

The Pirates game against the Albany River Rats at 4 p.m. is the concluding event of the annual fund raiser for the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital. The Day of Hockey, presented by Irving Oil, will also feature a Huskies Youth Hockey mite round robin tournament in the morning from 7-10 AM followed by the Southern Maine Law Enforcement All-Star hockey team taking on the Portland Fire Department Men's Hockey Team at 12:30 PM.

The first 2,500 fans into the game between the Pirates and the River Rats will receive a free Pirates t-shirt courtesy of Five county Credit Union.
