ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced that forward and current ECHL point leader Dan DaSilva has signed a professional tryout agreement with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

DaSilva, 28, is no stranger to the AHL as he has 322 games of experience, with 178 of those games spent with Worcester from 2008-11.

This season, DaSilva has 26 points (7g, 19a) in 14 games with the Reign putting atop the ECHL scoring chart. He was named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of November 11 - 17. Among his 26 points are the Reign's only two short-handed goals, earned last week, eight power-play assists, and three insurance goals. DaSilva also leads the league with his three empty-net goals.

Since his pro debut in 2005 with the Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL), DaSilva has seen time in the AHL, ECHL, and CHL, for a total of 424 professional games played, 116 goals scored, and 168 assists for 284 pro points. He also spent the 2011-12 season playing overseas in the KHL with Poprad Lev earning one assist in 15 games.

DaSilva currently ranks 9th all-time in Worcester Sharks history with 107 points (43g, 64a) in 178 games and is the franchise leader in playoff points with 18 (5-13-18) in 23 Calder Cup playoff games with the Sharks.
