SF Bulls Sign Scoring Forward Gjurich, Acquire Veteran D-Man Lepine

SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today they have signed Tyler Gjurich and acquired defenseman Jason Lepine from the Toledo Walleye for future considerations. In addition, forward Brett Parnham has left to play in China and has been suspended by the team.

Lepine, 28, is a veteran of seven years of professional hockey. He has five assists in 12 games with Toledo this season. The 5-foot, 10-inch, 185-pound, native of Cornwall, Ontario has recorded 49 points (11 goals, 38 assists) in 77 career ECHL games with the Bakersfield Condors and Toledo. In 2010-11, Lepine was named to the ECHL Second All-Star Team. He's also skated in eight AHL games. Lepine has also played in 141 games in the IHL and CHL. He spent the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons in Europe in the Czech Republic, Finland and Germany.

Gjurich, 21, enters his first season of professional hockey. He scored a goal in a preseason game for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL at the beginning of the 2013-14 season. Prior to turning pro, the 5-foot, 10-inch, 181-pound native of Hatfield, Pennsylvania played in Canadian juniors in Tier-II. He led the Buffalo Jr. Sabres of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in 2012-13 with 97 points (53 goals, 44 assists) in 53 games. He produced 30 more points than his next closest teammate.

Parnham, 24, produced three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 10 games with the Bulls this season.
