Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem Dash will host a season-ticket holder appreciation night for all fans that purchased a season-ticket package for the new downtown ballpark which will open in 2010. This special event will take place at Wake Forest Baseball Park on Tuesday, June 2 as the Dash host the Myrtle Beach Pelicans with the first pitch scheduled at 7 p.m. The gates will open at 6 p.m.

Each fan who purchased a ticket package for the new stadium has received a free ticket for Tuesday night's game at Wake Forest Baseball Park. During the game, there will be numerous giveaways including a team autographed jersey and team autographed baseball, as well as four tickets to the Dash's home game on July 2. The grand prize to be given away that evening will be a dugout suite rental for one night at the new stadium in 2010.

"The community has been very supportive as exemplified by the fact we have already sold over 4,000 season-ticket package for the new ballpark," said Kevin Terry, President of the Winston-Salem Dash. "We wanted to reward our fans by inviting them out to Wake Forest Baseball Park for an entertaining evening as our guests and to do some unique giveaways to show our gratitude."

Dash Executive staff will greet all fans at the gates and be available to answer any questions they have regarding the new stadium or their account. All fans in attendance will also be provided with free popcorn. "This is an opportunity for us to say, "thank you" for their continued support. We understand the disappointment with not opening the new park this year, but we want everyone to know how much we appreciate their continued support, for them to know they are a part of our family moving forward" said Terry.

All season ticket holders who have already purchased their packages for the new ballpark will not pay for any of those tickets in 2009. The Dash has created a special seven-game package beginning as low as $56 for current season ticket holders interested in attending games played at Wake Forest Baseball Park. Season ticket holders have the option of using a portion of their deposit to take advantage of this special offer without losing their place on the priority list. There is no obligation to buy and fans who choose not to will also keep their place on the priority list for the new ballpark.
