LYNCHBURG, VA (MAY 15, 2010) - Today the Winston-Salem Dash placed second baseman Drew Garcia on the seven-day disabled list.

Garcia suffered a right leg injury in Friday night's game against the Lynchburg Hillcats. He was on second base in the top of the third inning when Mark Serrano attempted to pick off Garcia. Garcia went into the bag awkwardly and had to leave the game.

Winston-Salem's roster is currently at 24 players, one below the Carolina League limit.

The Dash continues its seven-game road trip tonight against the Hillcats. LHP Justin Edwards (4-2, 1.88) opposes Lynchburg LHP Matt Fairel (3-0, 3.55). First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. from City Stadium.

The Dash returns to BB&T Ballpark on Monday, May 17 when it opens a seven-game home stand against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and the Lynchburg Hillcats.

The Winston-Salem Dash is the Class-A Advanced minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. To purchase tickets and for more information, please call 336-714-2287 or visit www.wsdash.com.
