Texas Legends News Release

Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa 66ers won their 12th straight game on Saturday night, defeating the Texas Legends 112-96 at the Tulsa Convention Center.

The 66ers used a 22-6 run in the middle of the first quarter to take an early 12-point lead. Tulsa would stretch their lead to as large as 17 points in the first half, but the Legends finished the half on an 8-2 sprint to go into the break down 55-44.

Sean Williams knocked down two free throws to start the second half to cut the deficit to single-digits at nine. However, Tulsa came right back and went on a 21-6 run to take a 24-point lead.

After trailing by as many as 29 points in the fourth quarter, the Legends used a 23-6 run down the stretch to cut the deficit to 10 with under two minutes to go, but that would be as close as they would get.

Antonio Daniels finished with 15 points and 10 assists, while Williams added 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Jerome Dyson led all scorers with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting and four 3-pointers. Latavious Williams contributed 10 points and 14 boards in the win for Tulsa.

The loss dropped the Legends to 11-12 on the year, while the 66ers have yet to lose in 2011 and improved to an NBA D-League best 20-6.

The Legends are back in action on Monday night against the Maine Red Claws with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off at HP Court inside Dr Pepper Arena.

Great tickets for all Legends home games are still available by calling (214) 469-0822 or emailing the team at info@TexLegends.com.
