Dallas Stars Place Steve Ott on Injured Reserve

Frisco, Tex. - The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has placed center Steve Ott on injured reserve retroactive to October 29 when he suffered a lower-body injury.

Ott, 29, has missed the past three games since suffering a lower-body injury on October 29 against the New Jersey Devils. He currently leads the team with 42 hits and has registered two goals and six assists in 11 NHL contests this season. The 6-0, 192-pound forward skated in all 82 games last season, posting 12 goals and 20 assists while leading the club with 183 penalty minutes and 252 hits.

The Dallas Stars are currently in first place in the National Hockey League and will play the Pittsburgh Penguins Fri., Nov. 11 at Consol Energy Center at 6 p.m. CT (TV: FOX Sports Southwest, Radio: 1310 The Ticket).
